Opening with a bang we would like to introduce to you our weekend warrior wedding photography workshop. Aiming to give you an incredible insight into the world of wedding photography and arm you with all the knowledge to boost your business.

This workshop is designed for those wanting to venture into the world of wedding photography or looking for a boost on their initial journey. Over the course of the weekend we will go over shooting styles and portfolio building with TWO REAL COUPLES. Approaching every aspect of a wedding day from prep to party. We will also dive into the business side of running a successful wedding photography business with talk and info from editing, workflows, attracting and converting clients plus web design and seo.

With options to arrive on Friday evening, stay with us on Saturday evening or just attend for the two days we hope we will have something for everyone.

Not only will you be leaving with incredible portfolio images, a wealth of knowledge but also a creative network and confidence to take that next step in your business.

TEAM

Your team that bring you over 50 years weddings and events experience from a host of backgrounds are:

Luke has entered his 8th year of weddings with over 240 under his belt. Luke prides himself on being able to bring a calming influence to any couples on their big day and keep things nice and relaxed, even under pressure. Luke specialises in those fun creative images utilising different props such as smoke bombs, champagne and a drone.

Now entering his tenth year in the wedding industry Nik is proof that you can maintain a successful photography business, have a day job and still have a healthy family life too. Often shooting over 25 weddings a year while still in employment Nik has the workflows in place to keep on top of everything and With a background in live music and events those dark venues are where Nik’s imagination comes to life!

Kieran is now in his 7th year of shooting weddings and was able to go full time with it very early on after just 10 months in the industry. After trying different avenues like google ads and SEO, Kieran found his feet using instagram and is confident in sharing the knowledge of how you can make instagram work for you too. He’s found a nice balance between engaging with his audience in an informal way, whilst still maintaining a professional presence on the platform.

With 20 years of photography experience in the wedding industry, Suzanne is now better known for her web design and business automation skills. While she still runs her busy wedding and portrait business from the family farm in Scotland, she now spends more of her time building websites for photographers and creatives and helping them automate their business processes to spend more time shooting and less time sitting at a desk.

The Venue

The workshop will take place at the stunning FALCON MANOR Skipton Road, Settle, Yorkshire, BD24 9BD

Located in the heart of the yorkshire dales we will have exclusive use of this incredible country house hotel.

Containing 16 bedrooms and ceremony spaces and beautiful gardens this wedding venue on the fringe of the bustling market town of settle will be ours (should you wish to stay) for the weekend.

With extensive grounds and lovely bar areas for when not shooting this is the perfect place to extend your portfolio and network.

We want to give something back. When we started out over 10 years ago the wedding photography industry was a secretive place and there wasn’t much help out there for newcomers or those at the start of their journey.

We want to be that change

We want to help you, build your portfolio and help you create incredible images and take away the knowledge and confidence to be able to recreate these on a wedding day. We want to make your workflow so smooth that everything just slides right into place freeing you up to do what you love.

With 14 attendees, split into two groups on the shoot day, it means we can really focus on getting you the images you need to build a strong portfolio without having to battle other photographers for the shot! Having two real couples everyone will have the chance to shoot and portfolio build.

We understand that Weekend Warriors is not cheap but not only does the cost cover your two days of learning but also accommodation and meals.

We will be nothing but open and honest over the course of the weekend. Every question will be answered honestly from our perspective and nothing hidden away.

What you will need…

This is a teaching workshop, but not how to use your camera, you must have some knowledge of how your camera works. We recommend you to be using DSLR or mirrorless as a minimum.

Equipment – Please bring all equipment you think you will need, it is better to have too much and not need it than not enough. The minimum you will need is a camera and lens. We shoot across Canon, Nikon, Sony and Fuji so will have things you can borrow and play with over the course of the shoot day.

Clothing – It is winter and in the UK, so please bring sensible footwear and warm clothing and waterproofs.
